Can I actually recover my bag without getting murdered?

To catch up on the background of this entire saga, go read part 1 where I explain the situation and what’s happened so far. This is what happened next.

The story picks up on Sunday after officer Hilger looked at the baggage claim cameras and spotted someone with a hoodie pulled over their face taking my suitcase and bolting out the door. He found an angle that showed the small brown leather cord on the handle of my suitcase. Yup, it was my bag. No, it wasn’t accidentally mistaken as someone’s bag, but deliberately taken right from baggage claim and driven 45 minutes south of the airport to a storage locker building. I visited the storage area and walked the halls looking for my AirTag and found out where it might be — I forwarded all this information and a video of the found tag to Officer Hilger who was writing up the case for the detectives. Hopefully there is enough evidence to get a warrant.

The detectives came to work on Monday and had my case in front of them. I got a call from Detective Beam who said he is going to attempt to get a search warrant (yes!) The luggage was taken on Friday, I went to the storage facility…
